Love Island star Mike Thalassitis who has died aged 26

The 26-year-old former footballer and reality television star was reportedly found dead on Friday.

Tributes have flooded in for late Love Island star Mike Thalassitis after he was found dead near his hometown on Saturday.

He had enjoyed a successful sporting career before appearing on the reality show in 2017 and also had spells at Ebbsfleet and Welling. All my love goes out to your friends and family.

Mike did not enter the villa until partway into the series.

Chris Hughes, who was good friends with Mike wrote: "His name wasn't Muggy Mike".

Although Mike didn't leave Love Island with a long-term girlfriend, he soon found love with Megan Mckenna, before the pair split a year ago.

During his time on the show he appared alongside Sam Thompson of Made In Chelsea fame, as well as Gemma Collins.
