Amazon removes books promoting misinformation on autism cures

Amazon removes books that promoted an autism 'cure'

If you're looking for a book that will tell you all the potentially unsafe things you can do to "cure" someone's autism, you're not going to be able to shop Amazon. (The initial Wired report found at least 25 books referencing it.) It says chlorine bleach can cause "severe nausea, vomiting and life-threatening low blood pressure from dehydration".

In Fight Autism and Win, the authors instruct parents on chelation, which is usually a treatment for acute metal poisoning, like mercury. Officials also said there is no link between vaccines and autism. This therapy can cause deadly kidney damage and a slew of other serious side effects, according to the Mayo Clinic. Earlier this month, Amazon also appeared to remove anti-vaccination documentaries from Prime Video streaming. Gizmodo reached out to Amazon for further clarification on its policy, and we'll update if we hear back. There is no known cure for autism.

Tottenham face Manchester City in Champions League quarter-finals
I love what I do, I think I have a fantastic team out there, and that's all that I need to be a happy person. Manchester City have already won the Carabao Cup for a second successive campaign.

In "Healing the Symptoms Known as Autism", the author claims that chlorine dioxide, a form of bleach, has cured 191 children of autism with a treatment that literally poisons the kids. "My boy ['s] aggression, biting, anxiety, bad mood stopped just after 3 days in the protocol.Don't listen to big pharma payed supporters (probably all the bad reviews you read here) they look so obvious", reads one review. The information helped me in healing my daughters spectrum issues. Mr. Cook reportedly attached an imagine from Amazon about the books' removal. But the retailer declined to provide specifics as to why or if they were taken out of circulation as part of a larger effort to curb the spread autism and vaccine misinformation.
