Fortnite V8.10 Adds a Traversal Equipped Hamster Ball, And Rarely Dispensed Freebies

Ranked Fortnite The value to a casual player By Mitch Reames

The Fortnite 8.10 update patch notes (Fortnite 2.08 update patch notes PS4) have been generously published by developer Epic Games.

Fortnite, the widely popular 100-player battle-royale first-person shooter from Epic Games, has received an update today, bringing cross platform multiplayer between the PS4 and Xbox One editions to table (via Thurrott).

In addition, Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms will have their pools combined. So, in other words, putting more players together means Epic can run more game modes moving forward.

Knicks owner Dolan bans fan after 'ambush'
He stopped just short of declaring that stars were on their way to NY and the playoffs were a certainty next season. Knicks and Rangers owner James Dolan is notoriously thin-skinned when it comes to the slightest bit of criticism.

The Baller can be found at some Expedition Outposts in Fortnite Season 8. Not only can you roll around inside this ball, but it features a grappling hook and a boost, so you can swing around the world with speed and control. Keep in mind, however, that the Baller will take damage and only has 300 health, so your opponents can still get the better of you by destroying it. These machines will dispense a free item, but will disappear completely after use. From here on out, there are no more resource costs associated with the items and weapons offered in vending machines.

The Getaway limited time mode makes its return, with players tasked with stealing a jewel and attempting to make their getaway. I honestly couldn't tell you if this new "Baller" vehicle is good because I, and everyone else I saw in one, was too busy larking about to play seriously.

Switch and mobile players' will still be able to experience cross-platform play with all other platforms in the popular game, but matchmaking pools will include those playing on Switch with players on mobile, both iOS and Android devices, as the default setting.
