Apple Sets March 25 to Announce Its Next Big Thing

2019 iPad 10.2″ and non Pro 10.5″ tablets tipped to launch separately

To add fuel to this rumour the invite, sent out by Apple, shows an image of an old-fashioned cinema screen with a countdown clock.

We now officially have a date for Apple's March event, with March 25th the big day.

Sources previously told Reuters that the company is targeting April for the launch of a streaming television service that will likely include subscription TV service.

As for the Apple News subscription service that we're expecting, Bloomberg believes that it will be similar to the Texture service that Apple bought to make all of this happen.

Gambino crime family boss Frank Cali shot dead outside Staten Island home
Francesco "Franky Boy" Cali is said to have taken over the running of the organisation from Domenico Cefalu in 2015. According to reports, Cali's death marks the highest ranking member of a NY crime family to be murdered in decades.

We'll find out more on Monday, March 25 with the event taking place at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino from 10am local time - 5pm GMT. Services may be the focus of the upcoming keynote, but Apple is also expected to introduce new hardware soon, including the new AirPods 2 wireless headphones, the AirPower universal wireless charger, and a couple of affordable iPads, the iPad 7 and iPad mini 5.

While we don't know precisely how Apple's streaming service will look until that March 25th showcase, it's very likely to get its hooks into almost all of the company's media-consuming hardware, from iPhone to Apple TV. The new service will give Apple device owners free access to the company's new original content, and it will also come with a Channels system that allows users to subscribe to platforms like HBO via an additional subscription.

The event will be live streamed on the 25th of March, and we will be covering it live as per usual.
