Enes Kanter To Sign With Portland Trail Blazers

Trail Blazers Sign Center Enes Kanter

Enes Kanter will be a Trail Blazer as the former Knicks center will get a chance to play with a contender.

Less than a week later and Kanter has found a new home in the Portland Trail Blazers, agreeing to a new deal according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. "He's an impact player with Playoff experience that will be an excellent fit with our style of play".

As Kanter averaged 14.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in just 25.6 minutes, he headlined what is expected to be a strong buyout market. I look forward to helping the Blazers achieve the ultimate goal of competing for a championship.

IPhone shipments plunge in China as Huawei tightens grip
Apple's October-December shipments suffered a almost 20-percent decline from the same period in the previous year. Apple iPhone shipments fell 19.9 percent in China during Q4 2018, or Apple's fiscal Q1, according to IDC .

The 26-year-old Turkish big man became available after being waived by the New York Knicks at the National Basketball Association trading deadline last Thursday. Portland signed Kanter to a $70M offer sheet in 2015, which OKC matched. But after playing in 44 games - including 23 starts - Kanter fell out of favor when the team chose to shift its priorities toward developing their young big men.

In eight seasons with Utah, Oklahoma City and New York, Kanter has averaged 11.9 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Kanter is the Blazers' third midseason addition, joining Rodney Hood and Skal Labissiere, who were acquired in trades with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings, respectively. Adding Enes Kanter to the roster gives Portland a big man off the bench who can score in bunches and rebound the ball at a high rate.
