Jeremy Lin #7 of the Atlanta Hawks handles the ball against the Washington Wizards on February 4, 2019 at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.

The team said he injured himself during the second quarter of the Raptors' 104-99 victory on Saturday at the New York Knicks.

Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is sidelined with a partial ligament injury to his left thumb, the team announced Monday.

May to promise new Brexit debate in push for more negotiating time
The British premier is set to meet European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker again before the end of the month. The sides are stuck on the issue of how to keep the Irish border open after Britain leaves.

The Toronto Raptors are set to sign point guard Jeremy Lin, who is finalizing a buyout with the Atlanta Hawks, reports ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski. But with some playoff experience (17 games) to offer, along with double-digit scoring off the bench, Lin is sure to quickly become a fan favorite in Toronto. Everyone competes in this league, but I think there is a pocket of guys that go above and beyond that.

The Raptors are now second in the East at 41-16. Although both Wright and Lin have been 33.3 percent three-point shooters, Lin had a major advantage in two-point field goal percentage (.535 to.485) and assist rate (27.1 percent to 16.9 percent). He appeared in 51 games for the Hawks, all but one of those as a reserve, averaging 10.7 points this season on almost 47 per cent shooting.
