Morocco recalls envoy to Saudi Arabia as diplomatic tensions rise

But it remains to be seen if Morocco and Saudi Arabia will overcome this unprecedented the tension for good since Rabat announced its withdrawal from the Saudi coalition in the Yemen conflict.

The Official Spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, Colonel Turki Al-Malki, stated: "the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition carried out a military operation to destroy a legitimate military target, a location used by the Houthi militia to store and prepare the launch of UAVs for terrorist attacks in the capital Sanaa", the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. CNN reported the weapons made their way into the hands of Iranian-backed rebels, exposing some of sensitive American military technology to Iran and potentially endangering the lives of USA troops.

The documentary was aired weeks after Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita told Al Jazeera that Morocco's participation in the Yemen war has changed due to humanitarian reasons.

Rabat had already scaled down its participation in coalition activities in May of 2015 after a Moroccan F-16 was reportedly shot down by the Houthis.

The tour came amid global concern about the Yemen war and condemnation of the killing of Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Embassy in Istanbul.

Asked why Rabat didn't host Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on a recent tour of other Arab countries, Bourita said: "Official visits are prepared in advance, according to protocol". According to one of the sources, Morocco declined to host the Saudi crown prince in an unusual snub, citing the Moroccan king's "busy agenda".

Wales equals wins record after Italy scare in Rome
But a comfortable win at Stadio Olimpico was on the cards as Dan Biggar kicked Wales to a 12-point lead in the first half hour.

Morocco's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mustapha Mansouri, did not respond Thursday to requests for comment.

Weddings, funerals, schools and hospitals, as well as water and electricity plants, have been targeted, killing and wounding thousands.

Al Arabiya news channel broadcasted a documentary describing Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara as "an invasion".

The four-year war and the country's economic collapse have unleashed the world's most urgent humanitarian crisis, with 14 million of Yemen's 29 million population facing starvation.

Morocco claims Western Sahara as part of its territory while the Sahrawi people there demands self-determination, which is supported by Morocco's eastern neighbor Algeria.
