Leeds’ Jack Clarke taken to hospital after collapsing in dugout during game

Patrick Bamford

Jack Clarke has expressed his appreciation for the outpouring of support he has received since collapsing during Leeds United's 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough.

The Championship game was stopped for seven minutes due to the incident and it has been confirmed that Clarke was taken to hospital for further assessment.

"What we know is that he didn't feel well", he said.

Clarke has impressed in spells for Leeds this season, with the 18-year-old the latest player to come through the ranks at the club.

Clarke was treated by paramedics in the Leeds dugout during the last 10 minutes of the game at the Riverside Stadium before being taken to the James Cook University Hospital for tests.

Additionally, the directive will authorize expanded access to government data for researchers to help advance the technologies. Eighteen other countries have beaten America to the punch in that regard.

Clarke has since been released but chief executive Angus Kinnear has informed fans of the decision taken by the club.

Those plans were reportedly only shelved by an injury - one that Bielsa says Forshaw may recover from in time to face Swansea on Wednesday night at Elland Road. "All our thoughts go to the lad Clarke".

Clarke made his Leeds debut against Brentford in October and has gone on to make 17 appearances this season. He has scored two goals and added two assists for Leeds in the English second division. "All we know is Jack didn't feel well, we don't really know the reasons yet", said Bielsa whose side equalised during 12 minutes of stoppage time when Kalvin Phillips headed a 101st-minute leveller to take Leeds back to the top of the table.

Middlesbrough, sit in fourth, four points behind Sheffield United and six behind Norwich in second.
