Bills considered looking into RB Kareem Hunt

John Dorsey brings Kareem Hunt to Cleveland Browns

Just before 2 p.m. on Monday, the Browns announced a transaction: They had signed running back Kareem Hunt. They are reportedly signing him to a one-year contract that will allow the Browns to control his rights as an exclusive free agent after this upcoming season.

Hunt was starring in his second season in the league, chalking up 14 total touchdowns in 11 games, before the video was published November 30, in which he pushed and kicked a woman in a Cleveland hotel in February. He was also placed on the NFL's "commissioner exemption list", effectively benching him until the National Football League concluded its investigation.

John Dorsey's press conference addressing the Cleveland Browns signing controversial RB Kareem Hunt revealed the GM's "extensive research" sounds a lot better in a statement than when actually pressed about the details. Hunt is seen arguing with the woman in a hotel lobby, then shoving her. Hunt's friends and girlfriend try to restrain him, but during the struggle, Hunt kicks the woman to the ground. Hunt is just 23 years old and he had 14 touchdowns last season - seven rushing and seven receiving. Dorsey drafted Hunt while working as general manager of Kansas City.

"We fully understand and respect the complexity of questions and issues in signing a player with Kareem's history and do not condone his actions", Dorsey said.

Nonetheless, the signing of Hunt in Cleveland does not take away from the fact that this is the Chicago Bears best option, as well as the most realistic when putting together the pieces and the idea that Nagy will want to get his hands on his own running back at some point anyways.

Hunt also had a statement prepared. "What I did was wrong and inexcusable".

Osaka splits with coach 2 weeks after 2nd major title
Osaka, who withdrew from this week's Qatar Open due to a back injury, has not yet announced a replacement for Bajin. He is a former hitting partner of Grand Slam champions Serena Williams , Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki .

"I think every time you go through these very hard situations and these types of actions, you have to study everything from the person and then find out are they willing to be better people moving forward", Dorsey said.

Dorsey added that the Browns have given Hunt "detailed plans with expectations laid out that he understands and must follow". "I'm a work in progress as a person, but I'm committed to taking advantage of the support systems that I have in place to become the best and healthier version of myself".

With as many as nine picks in the 2019 NFL Draft at their disposal one compensatory picks are handed out, the Eagles definitely have the ammunition to go get Johnson if the Browns to indeed make him available.

Either way, Hunt is in the Browns' control for the next two years.

Hunt, who is still facing disciplinary action from the NFL, led the league in rushing yardage as a rookie, with 1,327 rushing yards and 11 total touchdowns during his first season.

But no, I don't blame the Browns for signing Kareem Hunt because someone was going to do it. From this, we learned that he was untruthful about his actions and did not seek help to correct his violent behaviors until after the video was released and he lost his job in the NFL.
