Theresa May Promises U.K. Lawmakers Brexit Vote by February 27

The Prime Minister has been in Brussels this week seeking concessions on the Northern Irish backstop, the reason many MPs rejected her vote by historic margins in January.

Jeremy Corbyn has accused May of a "cynical" attempt to run down the clock before the March 29 Brexit date in order to leave MPs with a stark choice of accepting her deal or crashing out of the European Union without any agreement.

Speaking on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show on Sunday morning, Brokenshire said if a deal had not been agreed by February 27 then MPs would be allowed to again vote on their own proposals as to what should happen.

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair said leaving the European Union without a deal could be devastating for the Northern Ireland peace process and that a second referendum on Brexit might still happen.

But there is no commitment to hold a binding vote on the deal itself by the end of the month.

If she hasn't brought a new deal to Parliament by February 27, she'll say there will then be another opportunity to vote, Communities Secretary James Brokenshire said in a BBC interview.

Australian Parliaments computer network targeted by hacker
Just a year ago , the department of parliamentary services was allocated $9 million to set up a cybersecurity operations centre. Earlier this week, the ASD revealed Australian Government agencies suffer a serious cyber attack around once a day on average .

He acknowledged that more work was needed to get the United Kingdom ready for Brexit on March 29, telling the BBC's Andrew Marr Show there are "still steps that are currently being put in place" but "there is steady work that is going on, 10,000 civil servants that are now focused on this" and the Border Force was "ramping up" its staff.

"We would have a hard border, a very hard border, no-deal Brexit means a really hard border between the north and south of Ireland".

British Prime Minister Theresa May will pledge this week to give parliament another chance to voice their opinions on Brexit by February 27 as she tries to buy more time to negotiate a new deal with the European Union.

A no-deal Brexit will not provide the clarity or closure the country needs to progress beyond its withdrawal from the EU, Mr Blair said.

Meanwhile, Labour edged closer to being the midwives of Brexit, as Jeremy Corbyn wrote to Theresa May suggesting that he might support her deal.

"It seems to me we're now at the point where we can have meaningful talks to get a deal between the main political party leaders", he said. "And that's what we want to do this week".
