Instagram's most-liked post is going to be an egg, sorry Kylie Jenner

The simple photo of an egg on a plain, white background has surpassed the 18.1 million likes required to steal the record from Kylie.

Some egg-citing news this morning. It's a picture of an egg.

The photo, which was posted on January 5 by the account world_record_egg, has garnered over 20.8 million likes, surpassing the previous record-holder, Kylie Jenner, whose post only had 18 million likes.

The user explained to the online news portal that they chose to beat the world record just as a challenge but had nothing personal against Kylie Jenner.
