DeMarcus Cousins speaks about mystery breakthrough that landed him a return date

DeMarcus Cousins Warriors

Although he has felt his conditioning had improved significantly in recent weeks, Cousins had to wait for the final word from head coach Steve Kerr.

The Golden State Warriors aren't struggling as they now hold the second spot in the western conference, but they probably don't look exactly like the dominant force we've known them to be.

The impending return has thrilled Cousins' teammates, including All-Star swingman Klay Thompson.

Googles parent company Alphabet faces lawsuit over mishandling of sexual misconduct case
He also revealed (in the lawsuit ) that Google provided them on the condition that they will not be published anywhere. Alphabet has not commented on the lawsuit .

The Warriors coach is aware that Cousins has not played for nearly a year, but confirmed that the center will start when he makes his return from injury later this month.

Kerr explained some of the challenges Cousins has had to face in the recovery process, saying he has "a lot of compassion" for the center. We have to figure out what the rotations will look like, how many minutes he can play. In this picture, Cousins #0 of the Golden State Warriors poses for a picture during the Golden State Warriors media day in Oakland, California, Sept. 24, 2018. "We haven't had a player like him here before".

The Warriors reportedly are hoping Cousins will return when the team faces the Clippers on January 18. "After that, everything's on the table", Kerr said at Warriors shootaround Thursday, according to The Mercury News' Mark Medina. It also fits right along with the timeline that the Warriors have been targeting since last fall. "Eventually we all got on the same page and we settled for that date". He is a four-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA second team selection. It's been a long year for me. "You know, for me, it was kind of the same thing every day, so it was hard to kind of find that point where I could break through ... and actually do what he was looking for".
