Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri confirmed Willian will not be leaving the club

Sources have told ESPN FC it would take a significant cash bid for Chelsea to consider parting with Willian, regarded by Sarri as a key first-team player.

And the same report states that Sarri is indeed open to selling Willian for £50m but is determined to have the final say in the kind of player he signs.

The 21-year-old right wing has only played 363 minutes for Barca, however, scoring only two goals while suffering a pair of short-term injuries.

Asked about Barcelona's reported interest in Willian, Sarri was quoted by Sky Sports as saying on Friday: "I didn't receive anything yesterday".

"You have to contact the club and ask about the market, because if you ask me about the market, you put me in trouble because I don't know how to answer".

CoA Chief Recommends Two-ODI Ban for Pandya, Rahul; Awaits Edulji's Approval
It is expected that Pandya may eventually get a two-match ban but Rahul may escape with a rap on the knuckle. Pandya quickly posted an apology on social media.

Sarri's wing options have been bolstered by the return to fitness of both Willian and Pedro from muscle injuries, but uncertainty surrounding Callum Hudson-Odoi's future makes Willian's availability all the more important.

Pressed on how he believes Willian can improve, Sarri said: "Usually he wants the ball on the feet - always on the feet".

One player who seems set to leave Chelsea this month is midfielder Cesc Fabregas, whose proposed move to Monaco is on hold until Chelsea can bring in a replacement.

"Of course, if he goes to another club we need a replacement, it's normal", the Italian added.
