See What the Monster in "Bird Box" Was Supposed to Look Like

The script, written by "Arrival" scribe Eric Heisserer, is adapted from Josh Malerman's novel and takes place in a world where an unseen entity forces people who look at it to see their worst fear and kill themselves. A week after the film debuted, Netflix revealed that the film had been viewed over 45 million times in the first seven days of its release, numbers that broke the record previously held by David Ayer's Bright as the most popular opening for a Netflix original film.

As Bergholtz explains, the creation was meant to play into Sandra Bullock's character's greatest fears, centred of course around the baby she was carrying when the disaster struck. Ultimately, director Susanne Bier wisely made a decision to scrap the idea of seeing the creature and instead rely on the viewer's imagination to conjure up the horror of what several of the characters witness.

That detail made Bird Box an immediate must-see so that everyone on Twitter could weigh in on what exactly just happened in it and get ahead of the many spoilery memes that were flitting about online.

Gwyneth Paltrow spent her honeymoon with ex Chris Martin!
She added in a teaser clip for Friday's episode of "The Rachel Ray Show": " Moses loves to cook". So we love to go out in LA and find some insane dim sum place far away from where we live.

While the scene featuring his creation was cut from the final movie, Berholtz says he's actually glad that his work was left on the editing room floor. Many folks have speculated what the creature may have looked like, but they fail to realize the "snake-like green man" portion was simply Dirk in a spandex green-screen suit. In the case of Sandra Bullock's pregnant character, Malorie, the monster apparently looked like a "demonic baby creature". "Everything from the neck down was meant to be a giant CGI creature/body added later". In the end, I actually really liked the movie and think it was better off NOT showing the makeup. He also describes how this would only be the version of the monster that Bullock's character would see, owing to the fact that "the fatal "vision' that each character saw would most likely be different for each person (you'll understand if you've seen the film)". "Kudos to the director for sticking to her guns on that one".

Given that each character would end up seeing a different variation of the monster, it's hard to tell. "Still a fun project to be a part of".
