Irena Ivic has seen a lot during her career as a Milwaukee County Transit System driver, but she was shocked by what she witnessed about 8 a.m. December 22.

A Facebook post by Milwaukee County Transit System said the temperature was below freezing and all the child was wearing was a nappy and a onesie.

The driver stopped her bus, ran across the street, and picked up the child.

"Oh my God, I'm shaking", Ivic can be heard saying when she returns to the bus with the girl. "Baby was so scared and cried".

The MCTS said in a statement that the baby was unharmed.

The child fell asleep in Ms Ivic's arms as she waited for emergency services to arrive.

Speaking to Fox 6 Now, the child's father said he believes his wife forgot the toddler after going to the church across the freeway.
