Apple CEO Tim Cook Says Confident of Prospects Despite Naysayers

Apple has a big new product coming this year - but it might not be what you expect

The CEO remained tight-lipped about the exact nature of the company's plans, but did put a lot of emphasis on healthcare in an interview with CNBC.

According to a filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (via the Wall Street Journal), Apple gave its CEO Tim Cook a hefty 22 percent pay raise its last fiscal year ended in September, bringing his total compensation for the year to nearly $15.7 million United States dollars. Well, Apple's killing it. According to the document, Cook's compensation without his restricted stock is 283 times the company's median worker earns.

"Those are the most important things for us: innovation, customer satisfaction, and the overall size and loyalty of our customers", Cook said. I don't want to tell you about what they are'.

Cool also spoke about Apple's current interest in the world of healthcare, saying that he expects health initiatives to be Apple's "greatest contribution to mankind".
