Army beats Navy 17-10

The internet had so many jokes about the Army Navy game's 8-minute review

At the stadium, President Trump kicked off the game by handling the coin toss, after which the crowd erupted into cheers.

College football fans, military leaders and members of the Trump administration gathered in Philadelphia on Saturday for the 119th annual Army-Navy game. The Black Knights have won seven in a row and have defeated Navy (3-9) two straight years. But Navy has the biggest winning streak between the two with fourteen wins from 2002 to 2015. Navy pulled within 10-7 halfway through the fourth quarter but a key defensive stand by Army and a fumble recovery on fourth down with three minutes left pretty much sealed the win.

"It is an honor and a privilege to have the Commander-in-Chief attend the Army-Navy game", Vice Admiral Walter E. Carter Jr., the U.S. Naval Academy superintendent, said Wednesday morning in a statement, according to the Washington Post.

It was the president's first visit to the game as commander-in-chief, though he had visited as president-elect in 2016 and made an appearance on CBS Sports.

Cavaliers star Tristan Thompson's one-finger salute to Brooklyn Nets fans on Monday night is reportedly costing him $15,000. Thompson played 34 minutes against the Nets and ended the game with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Ahead of the game, Air Force One did a fly-by at Lincoln Financial Field as it approached Philadelphia.

As of halftime there were no reported goat-nappings surrounding the Army-Navy game, so the Midshipmen defense has doing a great job.

No. 22 Army (10-2) is in the AP Top 25 for the first time since 1996.

While it took officials forever to figure out what to do, they eventually chose to re-spot the ball and brought the chains out on the field to determine that the Black Knights were about a foot short of a first down, giving Navy the ball with 14:30 remaining in the quarter.
