Former Knicks coach Derek Fisher has a new coaching job

Derek Fisher hired to coach WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks

The Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA have hired Derek Fisher as head coach, the team announced Wednesday. He replaces Brian Agler, who resigned last month after four seasons as head coach of the Sparks, including a WNBA Championship in 2016.

Fisher, who inherits a team that features two-time WNBA Most Valuable Player Candace Parker, will be introduced as the Sparks' new bench boss at a press conference Friday in Los Angeles. Aside from having a solid 18-year National Basketball Association career, Fisher has professional coaching experience from his tenure as Knicks head coach back in 2014.

The suit says the Woloshins rented the house past year after their home was damaged by Hurricane Irma, agreeing to pay $30,000 a month.

"Derek is a champion and proven leader on and off the court", Toler said in a statement.

China promises prompt action on US trade pact
China has said it will import more USA products to reduce its trade surplus, but no dollar amount has been publicly discussed.

This will be Fisher's second head coaching opportunity.

Fisher went 40-96 in two seasons at the helm of the Knicks before he fired midway through his second season after the team posted a 23-31 record.

Fisher becomes the 12 head coach in Sparks franchise history. "Derek has been a strong supporter of women's basketball for quite some time, so it's nice to officially welcome him".

According to ESPN basketball insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Fisher has been hired as head coach of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. "I'm certain Derek will not only build on the Sparks championship culture, but also play an instrumental role in all the work we do in the Los Angeles community".
