America's Next Top Model contestant Jael Strauss has died aged 34 following a battle with stage four breast cancer. "Jael, being the selfless person that she is, has helped countless people throughout her life as an advocate for recovery and social justice", the page reads.

Jael went on, "It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable".

After receiving treatment for her addiction and getting clean, the model said she was "the happiest I've ever been in my entire life".

In 2013, Strauss got sober after revealing her addiction issues to Dr. Phil.

She announced in August of this year that she had been sober for five years.

Former Cubs infielder Luis Valbuena killed in auto crash in Venezuela
Valbuena joined the Cubs in April of 2012 off waivers from the Blue Jays and would play the next three seasons for the Cubs. In 592 career games, he hit.254 with a.296 on-base percentage, a.379 slugging percentage, 39 homers and 218 RBIs.

Throughout her battle, she had been keeping followers up to date on social media, including that there were "so many things I never knew about life - or death" during her first night in hospice. "Or death. So many things". Less than two weeks ago, on November 22, she revealed she has started hospice care. Following news of her breast cancer diagnosis, a GoFundMe page was created to help Strauss pay medical bills.

Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Strauss competed in "America's Next Top Model" Season 8, which aired on The CW from February 28, 2007 to May 16, 2007.

Strauss announced her cancer diagnosis in a Facebook post on October 4.

"Your smile will always be with us always", one fan wrote on Jael's Facebook page just hours ago. "Those of us who know her understand that she is a fighter, but this fight will be a long, rocky, and definitely expensive one". Good God! I know a few things to be true: "Miracles are real, [and] recovery is possible for everyone no matter how far gone you think you are", Strauss wrote on Instagram to celebrate the anniversary of her sobriety. Service work feels better than the greatest high. Sources close to the model told the outlet that her conditioned had worsened on Monday evening and that she'd been unconscious for several days, with her family not allowing anymore visitors. "I'd be dead if it weren't for all the love and forgiveness I've been showered with by my friends and my family".

Stage IV, or metastatic breast cancer, isn't the same for everyone. Thank you to all my handsome family (blood and extended). "Thank you so much for all the love, support, & prayers through the journey".
