Salvation Army: Impostors going door-to-door asking for donations

Charles Clark, who has been ringing a bell for the Salvation Army for five years, received a rare donation - an uncirculated 1998 American Eagle One ounce Gold Proof coin.

This particular coin is estimated to be worth $1,300.

Beyond the monetary value, White believes there's a deeper meaning behind the donation.

The organization said Tuesday that the individuals have what appears to be a kettle and claim the money collected will go to The Salvation Army.

While fewer people are carrying cash these days, Wise said donations to the kettle campaign have held steady in recent years and spare change is still an important part of the fundraiser.

Tom Cruise Is Going To War With A Setting On Your TV
Cruise took time out from shooting Top Gun: Maverick to shoot the short public service announcement and posted a tweet about it. According to BBC, part of the reason is because the actor is lacking when it comes to height.

"I don't think that we're anywhere near going totally electronic yet", Wise said.

"Right away when it was referred to us was we have a Grinch out there, two Grinches", said Chief Podany.

The Salvation Army in Calgary is making a desperate plea for new, unwrapped toys ahead of Christmas.

In the hopes of raising awareness about this issue, Captain Andy Seiler, corps officer of the Salvation Army of the Roanoke Valley, is setting out to ring a bell for 48 hours straight.
