Captain Marvel: 13 Major Questions After The New Trailer

Which means that, before we get the Avengers 4 trailer, we've now got a new one for Captain Marvel. And in it, we see Larson's Carol Danvers' doling out the fisticuffs.

"It allows us to play in an area that we have never played in before", Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told the Sun in an interview earlier this year. Add to this the confirmed role of Gemma Chan, playing Kree science officer Minn-Erva, another character with a shady, genetics-obsessed past, and it seems more and more likely that a major turning point of Carol's MCU story is going to be the revelation that her "accident" and subsequent "rescue" by the Kree was really anything but. Danvers is an ace military pilot who gets caught up in an intergalactic battle between two species, resulting in her being gifted with extraordinary super-powers. The process enabled her to "live longer, stronger", which would explain how and why she'll be blasting into the present (presumably) without having aged after being summoned to Earth by Nick Fury in the present day ahead of Avengers 4, while her solo movie takes place in the 90s. There's also a flashback that shows how Carol Danvers became Captain Marvel.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel will hit the screens in March next year. Memories of her friend Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch) and her past life on Earth keep bubbling up.

Feige hints Captain Marvel is very much its own standalone story, but "it will connect in ways that will be very apparent in Avengers 4".

We talked about Spider-Man: Far From Home before, as the film delivered evidence that several main Marvel characters have survived the snap at the end of Infinity War.

Tom Cruise gives lesson in TV settings and 'motion smoothing'
Here's hoping that Cruise, McQuarrie and everyone else is able to make some progress by bringing attention to the issue. Hence the nickname for this infamous technology: the soap opera effect.

The Brie Larson version of Captain Marvel is on her way via a movie set to begin its global release the week of March 8, 2019.

"I thought of myself as being an introvert with asthma who needed to get her s- together to be able to do this", Larson told the Sun.

"We made you one of us".

Captain Marvel is set to release in March.
