Apart from Ajith's film, there is a Simbu movie (remake of Atharintiki Daredi) also planning a Pongal release. The production company announced the same with a new poster of the film which has Rajinikanth and a gorgeous looking Simran carrying a flower pot. The former has donned a wig and a pair of glasses with trimmed beard remaining one of the attractions in his new avatar.

Now the makers have released a new poster of the movie featuring Rajinikanth and actress Simran.

The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Sasikumar, Trisha and Malavika Mohanan in prominent roles.

At present, "Thalaiva" is in the limelight because of his upcoming film Petta.

In October, Rajinikanth tweeted that the shoot of "Petta" was wrapped up 15 days ahead of schedule and he thanked his director and producers for their support. With the poster going viral, expectations about the movie have gone up.
