All three devices are believed to be planned for a global release, with variants intended for the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China likely being powered by the Snapdragon 8150, Qualcomm's successor to the Snapdragon 845. We saw Samsung show off some notch possibilities last week at their developer conference - seen below - and from the leak it seems that Samsung are opting for the "Infinity-O" option, as much as we would prefer the "New Infinity" display.
Talking about the CPU, the Exynos 9820 packs 2x 4th gen custom cores, 2x Cortex A75 cores, and 4x Cortex A55 cores. In terms of power, the GPU will be able to perform with 35% more efficiency. It supports up to 4K UHD (4096 x 2160 pixels) display resolution and supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0/2.1 flash storage. This performance won't only extend the battery life, but will also help AR and VR applications run on Samsung devices without putting a lot of strain on the battery.
The new Exynos 9820 boasts high AI performance with its integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). However, the modem is not 5G ready.
Is the Trump-Macron 'bromance' over?
Trump's tweet comes amid a deteriorating relationship between him and French President Emmanuel Macron . Trump says in a tweet, apparently firing back at Macron.
Diving deeper in the newly launched Exynos 9820, the SoC is made with an 8nm LPP FinFET manufacturing process in comparison to the 10nm LPP FinFET manufacturing process used to make its predecessor.
The processor uses an improved modem which is capable of 2Gbps download speeds, as compared to 1.2Gbps speeds from the previous generation modem.
The Exynos 9820 sports the latest ISP (Image Signal Processor) along with a new MFC (Multi-Function Codec) which renders the device with Exynos 9820 to sport five sensors which are most probably going to be 22MP Front and Rear or 16MP+16MP Dual-Camera besides an IR sensor. With the Galaxy S10 line being one of the most anticipated handset series of 2019, many manufacturers are likely to copy at least some of the new design elements it ends up introducing.
