Two unannounced Pixel phones hinted at in Google code

The Bonito device appeared on GFXBench last month showcasing Snapdragon 710 processor and corroborating previous rumours. A teardown of ARCore 1.5 by Android Police, two devices with the codename "Bonito" and "Sargo" was spotted in the list of smartphones that support Google's platform for mobile augmented reality. A new discovery has revealed there might be a second phone that is codenamed Sargo. Bonito was the codename for the midrange Pixel handset, though the phone was never released.

A teardown of the latest version by AndroidPolice contains two codenames that can't be linked to any known device. Now, the APK doesn't have any information on what these are, but one thing they are is types of fish, which is relevant because all of Google's Pixel handsets have used types of fish as their codenames. According to Wikipedia, Sargo is the name for a white seabream and Bonito is described as "a tribe of medium-sized, ray-finned predatory fish in the family Scombridae".

Smartphone cameras have come a long way in a relatively short amount of time.

Boeing, Airbus eye China market amid trade war fears
The $20-billion program has reportedly sought proposals for the plane's engine and landing gear. The JV will now enter the preliminary design stage for the plane.

Google popularly codenames its phones after fish and Bonito and Sargo are fish of different sizes, hinting at the different screen sizes of the unannounced phones.

We would however take all of this with a pinch of salt for now, as there's still not much to go on and this would be the first time Google has made a mid-range phone.
