UK 15 children and six adults found in refrigerated lorry that arrived from France says report

The group was hiding within the sparkling water that the lorry was carrying at the port of Newhaven in Sussex.

The suspect, who has been named as 29-year-old Andrut Mihai Duma, is being held in custody until a hearing at Lewes Crown Court on 26 November.

A spokesperson said the group consisted of 17 people, claiming to be aged between 12 and 17, who said they were Vietnamese. Officials discovered 10 adults and 11 minors, all Vietnamese. They were cold but did not need medical treatment, the BBC reported.

'Where someone has no right to remain in the United Kingdom, we will take action to remove them, ' a spokesman said.
