Liverpool boost as Salah and Van Dijk join training

Liverpool Ace To Sign New Contract Amid Transfer Links

Sadio Mane has joined Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk in picking up injuries while on worldwide duty.

"Liverpool Football Club can confirm Sadio Mane today underwent a procedure on a hand injury sustained while on global duty with Senegal".

Mane returned to Liverpool for the procedure and will be monitored by the club before their trip to Huddersfield in the Premier League on Saturday.

Liverpool will be without key midfielder Naby Keita for at least a fortnight after he picked up a hamstring strain on global duty.

Liverpool will face Huddersfield this weekend and entertain Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League next week. But training looks tremendous; he obviously enjoys playing football.

Shaw signs bumper new contract with Manchester United
Shaw has been rewarded for an excellent start to the season personally despite a hard time for Mourinho's men as a team. But while Chelsea's fortunes appear to be on the rise, it's been a different story for Manchester United this season.

The star pair have overcome respective muscle and rib complaints to give Jurgen Klopp some welcome relief from the injury headaches that mounted over the global break. Nobody, not even he, knows how long he can [play] and stuff like that.

Mane's involvement against Huddersfield now remains uncertain with initial unconfirmed reports suggesting Keita will spend at least two weeks on the sidelines. But we can not forget it completely or ignore it.

The club released photos of Van Dijk, Salah and Milner taking part in Thursday's session , indicating they are on the right path.

Virgil van Dijk is also on Liverpool's lengthy list of injury issues, although Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman is confident the centre-back's rib complaint will not force him to sit out any club games.
