Burger King debuts green ‘nightmare’ cheeseburger with beef and chicken for Halloween

Burger King says its Halloween burger passed the nightmare test

That's what the Burger King brand set out to prove with an unusual research study on its latest Halloween burger, the Nightmare King.

Burger King says it put the burger to the test and worked with the Paramount Trials and Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostic Services to conduct a sleep study.

Are you courageous enough to face your nightmares?

As for the sandwich itself, the green bun and apparent link to causing intense bad dreams - participants in the "clinical sleep study" reported seeing people transformed into snakes and being attacked by aliens - could draw the interest of more curious or courageous consumers.

The Nightmare King Sandwich features a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty along with a white meat crispy chicken fillet, melted American cheese, thick cut bacon, creamy mayo, and onions on a glazed green sesame seed bun.

Cops capture pig 'the size of a mini horse' using Doritos
A couple of San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies came up with a plan when confronted with a giant pig roaming around a Highland neighborhood on Saturday.

But here's the kicker: What is the Nightmare King, you might ask? Per USA Today, the incidence of nightmares increased 3.5 times over the normal rate, apparently due to various proteins.

Burger King has another frightening item - the Frozen Fanta Scary Black Cherry.

"According to previous studies, 4 percent of the population experiences nightmares in any given night", the study's lead doctor said in a statement obtained by the national newspaper chain.

That's all well and good, but isn't there also a distinct difference between having nightmares because something scared you versus having nightmares because your dinner was an assault on your vital organs?! The Nightmare King will be available at select restaurants for a limited time starting on October 22 and via the courier service Postmates.
