The Flash Movie Has Been Pushed Back Production May Start in 2019

It's also lost screenwriters and directors along the way.

The Flash and Cyborg standalone movies have sadly been the biggest victims of Warner Bros.' tenuous grasp on its DC cinematic universe.

According to a new report from Variety, the start of filming for the upcoming Flash solo film has been pushed back, due to tweaks being made to the film's script. It had been scheduled to begin filming in March 2019, but the new script isn't finished and the studio wanted more time to get it right.

The Pride & Prejudice & Zombies author is set to make his directorial debut as he's hired to write and direct the film, working on a treatment from Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The film may have been a bomb for Warner Bros., but Miller played his role to perfection. But this same studio is now developing two Joker movies, one of which is forcing extras to pee out the side of locked subway cars and the other, even more obscene, stars Jared Leto. In turn, the film would not be likely to appear in theaters until 2021, although an official release date has yet to be released. In March of this year, Game Night and Spider-Man: Homecoming's John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were brought on to the project, and are still attached to the project at this point and time.
