Swift broke her silence on politics for the first time Monday, expressing that she would vote for Tennessee Democrats in the midterms.

The couple showed up to the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Tuesday ( Oct. 9) with coordinating looks and lots of PDA. It takes her AMA tally to 23, beating Whitney Houston's 19 to make her the most successful female artist at the awards.

"Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values", she said in an Instagram post. She encouraged everyone to get out and vote this midterm election cycle. "Go to vote.gov like Taylor Swift told you to". During this year's ceremony, the star added another four trophies to her collection, including Tour of the Year and Favorite Female Artist Pop/Rock.

Hitting the stage in a multi-colored, bejeweled ensemble and knee-high boots, Cardi performed her own hit, "I Like It", with Bad Bunny and J Balvin in a super fun, high-energy highlight of the show, getting the crowd on their feet.
