Former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant is searching for his next football home after deciding to transfer and receiving his release papers from Clemson last week. He helped the Tigers reach the College Football Playoff. As they like to say, though, life comes as you fast.

Bryant left Clemson after the first four games this season when he learned he had lost the starting job to freshman Trevor Lawrence.

He called the team's going to Lawrence as a starter, a "slap in the face".

Bryant has scheduled a visit to North Carolina for this weekend and Arkansas next weekend, a source told The State.

The South Carolina native went 16-2 as a starter and took Clemson to the College Football Playoff past year, but struggled in a semifinal loss to Alabama. The newspaper reports Bryant will officially visit Arkansas for the Razorbacks' game against Tulsa on October 20. During his career at Clemson, has also run for 987 yards and 16 touchdowns on 257 carries.

Bryant revealed he's taking graduate classes at Clemson and plans to finish the fall semester there before transferring to his new program at the start of the 2019 calendar year.
