Selena Gomez is Being Treated at Mental Health Facility Following Medical Issues

According to the site, Selena was released days later but had to be re-admitted "late last week" because her blood cell count was still low which "threw her into a downward emotional spiral".

The first incident occurred at her Studio City home in the last week of September; friends said she was "despondent and emotional" over her alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant.

Selena Gomez is seeking treatment after suffering an emotional breakdown while in hospital, PEOPLE reports.

It's not the first time that Selena has been treated for mental health issues with DBT.

The Bad Liar hitmaker tried to leave shortly afterwards but was told she couldn't, prompting the artist to have a "meltdown" and "freak out" as she tried ripping drips out of her arm.

'Polio-like' illness cases flaring up: Should you be concerned?
Most AFM sufferers notice sudden muscle weakness in their limbs and loss of reflexes. The doctor says there is no need to panic and there's no vaccine for the disease.

She is now reportedly receiving treatment, including dialectical behavior therapy, at the same psychiatric facility.

The 26-year-old was hospitalised twice in the last two weeks.

In February 2018, Gomez completed two weeks in rehab for depression and anxiety, marking her third time in treatment for her issues, after which sources told Page Six she was avoiding alcohol.

"Mood lol (I was looking at myself in the mirror - like an idiot!)" she wrote under the photo, later editing it to add, "Update: taking a social media break". "She has been actively writing new music, and moved to Orange County for a change of pace and a fresh breath of air". Just remember -negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings.

She explained: 'As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given.
