Classic Zelda on Nintendo Switch Online gets easier with special save data

The Legend of Zelda: Living the Life of Luxury is a "souped-up version" of The Legend of Zelda for NES, added to the service in addition to the original version of the game.

Labelled as an SP (Special) release on the menu of the NES emulator app for Switch, this new version of The Legend of Zelda aims to offer newer fans an easier Zelda experience, which is curious.

Live the life of luxury.

Taylor Swift gets political at awards
For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway. There was also a tribute to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, who died in August.

Surprise! Nintendo not only added the three new games, NES Open, Dodgeball and Solomon's Key to the Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Switch Online app, they also added a whole new game, or at least a modified game. Players will get to start their adventure with "tons of rupees and items", including all equipment such as the White Sword and the Power Bracelet. There's also a "more difficult" Second Quest awaiting you if you complete it. The protagonist, a sorcerer called Dana, must find the eponymous key by progressing through a series of increasingly challenging rooms by creating and/or destroying orange blocks.

While Nintendo of Europe seems to have removed mention of the other "SP" games, likely due to Zelda's release date shifting from December to October, the other games with the same label were Dr. Mario, Metroid, Super Mario Bros., Double Dragon, Super Mario Bros. The third game is also sports themed.

The idea is to provide gamers with access to the later stages of the game that many may have missed out on when the game first debuted on the NES back in 1987 - it's a surprisingly hard and esoteric game.
