See the First Pic of Ruby Rose as Batwoman

The first look at The CW's Batwoman is here.

Batwoman will appear in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, "Elseworlds", featuring Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.

Set against a dark and gritty city backdrop - with the Bat-Signal shining bright in the night sky no less - Rose stuns in this first look photo at the iconic superhero. That new suit, by the way, was created by award-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, and feels in line with the style of Thunder's suit on Black Lightning more than other female fight garb in the Arrowverse (which, at least for the Canaries, tend to feature a ton of cleavage - although the hair is all Canary).

5,000 feared missing as Indonesia quake death toll rises
Hundreds of people Saturday rushed a truck carrying gas cylinders for cooking, with long and desperate queues quickly forming. Many thousands of people are still too afraid to stay in their houses, especially at night, owing to the ongoing aftershocks.

What are your first impressions of Rose's Batwoman look?

Ruby Rose in costume as Batwoman for The CW. If everything goes according to plan, Rose will also headline her own Batwoman series as the network is now developing a stand-alone series around the character, too. If the project went to series, Batwoman would be the first gay lead character in a live-action superhero TV show. In addition, a Batwoman show is in development with The Vampire Diaries' Caroline Dries writing the script. "In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope". "This is something I would have died to have seen on TV when I was a young member of the LGBT community who never felt represented on TV and felt alone and different".

Assuming Batwoman's inclusion in the Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash crossover goes off without a hitch, you might want to schedule some time into your TV schedule next year for a Batwoman series, since one is now in the works at The CW.
