US Open champ Osaka ‘stressed out’ by great expectations

US Open champion Naomi Osaka has pulled out of this week's Hong Kong Open to prevent aggravating a slight back injury, organisers said on Sunday.

Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova, the World No. 20, upset Japan's Naomi Osaka, the eighth seed, 6-4, 6-4 win on Saturday to qualify for the China Open final. "I was basically apologising because I feel like today I was more emotional than what I normally am trying to be like", said the world number six.

Thank you Beijing ❤️ this tournament has been full of ups and downs, but I'm glad to have experienced it all. "I'm just thinking one match at a time, and it can only get harder from here".

Caroline Wozniacki eased her way into the final of the China Open with a straight-sets victory against home favourite Wang Qiang. The eighth seed, who stunned Serena Williams to win her maiden Grand Slam last month in NY, belatedly began finding some range.

George W. Bush made several calls reassuring Collins about Kavanaugh
The Senate narrowly voted Friday to limit debate on Kavanaugh's nomination, advancing it to Saturday's final confirmation vote. Cardin (D) later said that America needs a president "who will consult with Congress and the U.S.

The 20-year-old Japanese was broken on her first two service games and had tears in her eyes as the match threatened to slip away in the second set.

The Dane won her two Premier Mandatory titles in Beijing in 2010 and in Indian Wells in 2011.

Wozniacki is in the hunt for her third title of the year, following her Australian Open triumph in January and her victory at the Eastbourne International in June.

The Argentine top seed Del Potro will face either Britain's fifth seed Kyle Edmund or unseeded Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia.
