'America's Got Talent' Finalist Michael Ketterer Arrested for Domestic Violence

'America's Got Talent' finalist Michael Ketterer has been arrested for felony domestic violence. Law enforcement sources tell us. he got into a fight with his wife, and when cops showed up they noticed she had a visible red mark.

The arrest happened at 3:45 p.m. after authorities responded to a call at the hotel, Ketterer and his family were staying at.

Ketterer was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by the LAPD in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Police Department have confirmed to Heavy that Ketterer was charged for domestic violence under penal code 273.5a and held on $50,000 bail. But reports indicate he was arrested despite the fact that his wife did not wish to press charges. He then spoke to TMZ reporters, claiming that the incident was a "misunderstanding". The reality contestant said officers told him they had to arrest him under the law. Still, the whole ordeal was shocking to Ketterer's fans, who have spent the entire season of America's Got Talent cheering him on.

The arrest comes just days after the two-day AGT finale, where Ketterer placed 5th overall.

TMZ reported that Mr Ketterer's case will be referred to LA City Attorney and downgraded to a misdemeanour due to his wife's minor injury.
