PSG stars mocked up as The Beatles ahead of Liverpool clash

Roberto Firmino challenges Jan Vertonghen

"It is a completely normal situation for an offensive player that they have times when they don't score".

Liverpool scored late to beat Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain 3-2 in their Champions League opener at Anfield on Tuesday night.

The forward spent the latter half of last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion as they fought in vain against relegation from the Premier League and it was a surprise when he was reintegrated into Klopp's side during pre-season.

Substitute Roberto Firmino fired home the victor in the second minute of added time to make it 3-2 win, having been 2-0 up inside 36 minutes. The Parisians got on the board just before halftime through left-back Thomas Meunier.

Kylian Mbappe equalised for the visitors seven minutes from time and just when it looked like the tie was going to end in a 2-2 draw, Firmino popped up with a special strike to maintain Liverpool's flawless start to the season.

Firmino had recovered enough to come of the bench and grab the added-time victor but Klopp was pleased with both forwards, especially as the Brazilian looked set to miss out completely. And, if there is a more in-form midfielder in European football than James Milner right now, we are yet to see him. PSG will host Red Star the same day.

Four reasons why Christine Blasey Ford’s credibility keeps rising
Trump said the judge had "tremendous support", much like his first Supreme Court pick, Justice Neil Gorsuch. She said Ford needs time to make sure her family is secure, prepare her testimony and travel to Washington.

"The problem for Liverpool is the fans don't get up for the league games in the same way as they do in the Champions League", Barton, now in charge of League One side Fleetwood, told talkSPORT.

"We are suffering a little bit but that's not an excuse", said Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

After winning the Europa League last season, Atletico Madrid are targeting Champions League glory with the final to be played in their own stadium.

"The three in midfield did an outstanding job, but they only can do it when the two wingers in how we play and the number nine are helping in all these situations to keep the formation compact".

That was after Alex Telles had an early penalty saved for the visitors.
