Elon Musk's SpaceX to announce first tourist to Moon

SpaceX has stated that the BFR would be capable of sending crews to the Moon and Mars.

In 2017, Space X revealed that two "private citizens" had paid a "significant deposit" to book themselves on a journey around the moon.

In a tweet late Thursday, the company proclaimed a deal has been struck with a "private passenger" to fly around the moon in its Big Falcon Rocket, or BFR-an "important step toward enabling access for everyday people who dream of traveling to space".

Who will be flying and why will be known on Monday, September 17 at 6 pm PT, added in the tweet.

Elon Musk's rocket and spaceship company has not named the person who will take part in this historic trip.

"SpaceX will probably build 30 to 40 rocket cores for 300 missions over five years".

For the sake of uninterrupted traffic flow, special arrangements were also made outside Jattiumra. People continued to arrive at Jati Umra to express grief and offer sympathy to the Sharif family.

"All our resources will turn toward building BFR", Musk said past year, reported the Verge.

The 31-engine BFR is part of the company's grand plan for travelling between planets, and will replace its current suite of rockets like the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy.

Humans have not set foot on the Moon since the final Apollo mission in 1972, capping an era of U.S. national pride.

But during a Falcon Heavy press conference earlier this year, Musk told reporters that, for the time being, SpaceX had no plans to certify the Falcon Heavy for human spaceflight.

SpaceX gave no further details, but said more information would follow on Monday.

Instead, Musk said, SpaceX would turn its focus to developing the BFR, which he deemed a better option for tourism missions.
