Dua Lipa fans waving rainbow flags dragged from Shanghai concert

Fans waving flags in support of gay rights ejected from Dua Lipa concert

Dua Lipa says she's "proud" of fans after some were forcefully removed from her concert in Shanghai, China.

The videos show security staff pulling people from their seats, and crowd members apparently being attacked by security guards outside the National Exhibition and Convention Center in the city's Qingpu district.

It was suggested some fans were ejected for waving pro-gay rights flags at the concert on Wednesday.

That's sadly what happened during Dua Lipa's concert in Shanghai last night.

She added: "I would love to come back for my fans when the time is right and hopefully see a room full of rainbows".

Homosexuality is not illegal in China despite recent anti-LGBT trends.

Today Dua Lipa issued an official statement on social media, writing that she was "horrified" by what occurred.

Things To Know About The Killing of Botham Jean
Jean's mother has said he was only a teenager when he presented a plan to evangelize his home country of St. Guyger drew her firearm, "gave verbal commands that were ignored by (Jean)", and then she fired two shots.

Some claimed that people were removed for not staying seated, while others said guards targeted a group waving LGBTQ flags during the show, according to BBC.

"I will stand by you for all your love and beliefs", Dua Lipa wrote, "and I am proud and grateful that you felt safe enough to show your pride at my show". "A promised show. I stood by them, sang with them and danced with them. I just want us all to have a really good time". "We're not here for much longer, just a few more songs, but I would like us for these last few songs to just really, really enjoy ourselves, how about that?"

It's recently become more common for big names to play in Shanghai.

Lipa addressed the incident as the show went on.

Dua Lipa, in addition to riding high on a wave of pop-song guest spots in 2018, is now making her way around the world on The Self-Titled Tour. She played in Guangzhou and Shanghai.

MailOnline has contacted Dua Lipa's representatives and the organiser of the singer's China tour for comments, and is awaiting for their replies.
