American households recorded median income of $61,372 last year, which marked the first full year of the Trump administration.

Although the household income level is considered to be the highest ever recorded, census officials say it is about the same, when adjusted for inflation, as in 1999 and 2007.

Real median earnings of all male workers increased 3.0 percent in 2017 while the earnings of female counterparts stayed stagnant. "When you adjust for the change, median household income in previous years was just as high". The percentage of people without health-insurance coverage for the entire 2017 calendar year was 8.8%, or 28.5 million, not statistically different from 2016.

Tottenham fans will love Toby Alderweireld's latest comments
Opinion from Spurs fans is split, with some happy at his comments and others reserving judgement until he signs a new deal. The Manchester Evening News reported Alderweireld was valued at £55 million by Tottenham .

"While any reduction in poverty or increase in income is a step in the right direction, most families have just barely made up the ground lost over the past decade", said Elise Gould, senior economist at the Washington-based Economic Policy Institute.

The stunning report says the median US household income reached $61,372 past year, meaning half of Americans are earning more than they did during the previous high reached in 1999. The U.S. economy has added jobs each month since October 2010, and the unemployment rate dropped below 4 percent in April.
