Drake visited a young fan awaiting a heart transplant in Chicago

Drake has granted the wish of a little girl who longed to meet him as she stayed in hospital waiting for a new heart

Sofia has been in the Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago for several weeks as she was born with cardiomyopathy and needs a heart transplant.

In her video, Sofia, tethered to a portable IV pump, and her cousin performed "The KiKi Challenge" in the hospital hallway.

Drake and 11-year-old Sofia Sanchez take selfies in her hospital room on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Lurie Chidlren's Hospital in Chicago.

Drake released images of their visit via his Instagram account Monday afternoon, noting "Me and my love Sofia talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball".

The rapper surprised the girl in hospital, posting pictures of them both on Instagram. The rapper made sure that second wish came true.

Sofia's cardiologist, Dr Bradley Marino, said: "Having this one special day where she doesn't have to be a sick patient and doesn't have to be a girl waiting for a heart, it's just a little girl who's a fan of a great artist, it's pretty special". I did the Kiki challenge.

Australia's Malcolm Turnbull survives leadership challenge
The longer Turnbull remains prime minister, the worse the government's opinion polling was likely to become, Economou said. I made a decision to contest this ballot to keep Bill Shorten from ever being prime minister of this country.

Sending a message to Drake she said: "This week's my birthday and this week's your concert and I was hoping you could come cheer me up".

"I'm so happy I got to see you", he told his young fan, to which Sofia squealed: "I'm so happy you came".

Drake was in Chicago this weekend performing at the United Center.

In another post, he simply uploaded a picture of Sofia wearing a baseball cap with "scorpion" written on it - the name of Drake's album, along with love emojis.

In February, he gave a young student a $50,000 (£36,000) scholarship after reading one of her essays.
