Tottenham issues stadium update and apology

Spurs have been forced back to Wembley for at least three Premier League home games

Tottenham's new 62,000-seater stadium had been due to host its first match on September 15 against Liverpool, but both that and the following game against newly promoted Cardiff City have now been moved to Wembley, along with an National Football League game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders due to be played on October 14th.

Tottenham Hotspur could be forced to find a third home ground to host their Premier League match against Manchester City on October 28, according to a report. The London club had already agreed to face Fulham at Wembley in their first Premier League home game of the season.

In total, the club had 12 players at the World Cup in Russia - Toby Alderweireld, Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, Danny Rose, Davinson Sanchez, Heung-min Son, Kieran Trippier, Jan Vertonghen - with nine of those still involved at the semifinal stage - more than any other club.

"Whilst we would have been able to mitigate other areas, we simply can not compromise safety".

James Corden 'Late Late Show'
Ariana Grande is a national treasure - don't let anyone tell you otherwise. "Hello, I'm Ariana Grande ". When Corden asked if the rumor has any truth to it, Grande said, "No! No!" "Gets them every time! ".

The opening of the new 62,000-seater arena in north London had been delayed until October. This decision was unavoidable.

"The delays created by these difficulties mean that we can no longer hold the necessary test events". These will need to be rescheduled to take place ahead of any first official match at the new stadium in order to achieve the safety licence'. The option was in fact exercised at the end of past year - and not in response to this issue - as a sensible back-up given the nature of construction and the possibility of exactly such an issue arising.

"We should like to apologise to supporters for this delay".

"We know this will be disappointing for all our season tickets holders, premium members and our fans worldwide", said Levy.
