Now MoviePass limits you to just six movie choices each day

MoviePass new plan

MoviePass's latest change is another downer.

Now unavailable through MoviePass for the next 10 days: Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible - Fallout".

For those who want to maintain their monthly subscriptions (or ride out their annual pass, which not restricted to the three-movie plan), you will now have between six or seven - it's honestly not clear - titles to chose from daily, as announced in a new email to subscribers. Any further tickets bought through the service will get a $2-5 discount.

The plot twists keep coming for MoviePass.

Earlier this week, Helios and Matheson reported a second-quarter operating loss of $126.6 million.

2018-2022 Expected To Be Abnormally Hot Years
Scientists say that " extreme warm events " will drive up both average ground and sea surface temperatures between 2018 and 2022 . This research was carried out before the July heatwave so it seems that scientists have already been proved right.

On Thursday, the MoviePass website listed seven films available to watch that day - instead of the announced six- including blockbusters such as BlacKkKlansman and The Meg along with less popular films Summer of 84 and Juliet, Naked.

MoviePass, the cash-strapped movie-subscription service which lost almost $127 million in the most recent quarter, has reduced the lineup of movies members can see to around a half-dozen on a daily basis. "During this transition period, MoviePass will offer up to six films to choose from daily, including a selection of major studio first-run films and independent releases".

In his August 16 email, Lowe warned customers that the availability of some movies might be limited, depending on popularity.

It is also rescinding other cost-cutting measures, including surcharges for popular movies and show times and requirements to send photographs of ticket stubs to combat fraud. The company is going to release a schedule each week so people can plan ahead and figure out what days each movie is available.

Although the limitations will surely annoy consumers, Lowe promised that MoviePass is preparing to roll out new features to "bring greater value" to its membership base. MoviePass insisted those cases were the result of a technical bug, which was fixed on Tuesday.
