SHOOTING Multiple injured after gunman went on the loose at a shopping centre

"We are relieved that an arrest has been made and thankful that injuries sustained by three of our associates and a customer are non-life threatening", said Walmart representative Randy Hargrove.

The 30-year-old man pulled a gun from the waistband of the woman he was with and unloaded shots through the store in Cheltenham, Philadelphia. In addition, a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital after a fall, he said.

Police say the pair then crashed into an empty Philadelphia police vehicle, and fought with officers who eventually used a Taser to subdue the alleged gunman.

More than 22 police departments responded to the scene, Frye said. A witness told police they saw Jones get rid of a gun at the intersection of Cheltenham and Mount Pleasant Avenues.

WPVI-TV captured footage of the suspect being brought to the police station in hand and leg cuffs.

He was taken into custody after a violent struggle with police and needed to be subdued with a Taser, Fox 29 News Philadelphia reported.

During Wednesday's arraignment, Jones told the judge he doesn't remember much of what happened.

Emergency dispatchers in Montgomery County say the gunfire was reported just after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedarbrook Plaza Shopping Center in Cheltenham Township.

He also requested mental help from the court and the judge said he would personally call the prison to make sure he received that.
