Extraordinary audio of the Seattle hijacker conversation with air traffic controller

Alaska Airlines has confirmed an'unauthorised take-off in Seattle

After a ride full of risky loop-the-loops moves and freakish conversation with the air traffic controllers, Richard wasn't able to land safely and crashed into a heavily wooded area on Ketron Island causing the jet became engulfed in flames.

"Oh man. Those guys will rough me up if I try and land there", Russell responded, later adding "This is probably jail time for life, huh?" "Pilots kept plane out of harm's way and people on ground safe", the sheriff said on Twitter.

At one point, he apologizes and says he is a "broken guy" with "a few screws loose".

There were some stunts performed apparently by the plane over the sound and then he crashed into Ketron Island a small, not very highly populated wooded island, just off shore here.

A turboprop passenger plane stolen from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and trailed by two fighter jets crashed Friday night on Ketron Island, off the shore from Steilacoom, authorities said.

Two military F-15s were scrambled to chase the stolen plane, but "were not involved in the crash", local officials said.

Sheriff's department officials said they were working to conduct a background investigation on the Pierce County resident.

Confirming this, the airport said, "No passengers were onboard during the incident and normal operations have resumed at the airfield".

Officials say an airline employee stole the empty plane and took off from Sea-Tac International Aiport on Friday night.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Alaska Airlines said, "We are aware of an incident involving an unauthorized take-off of a Horizon Air Q400".

The 31-year-old made the last of his 102 worldwide appearances in Spain's World Cup last-16 loss to Russian Federation . And despite the presence of former Barca boss Luis Enrique on the Spain bench , Pique has chose to call it a day.

Ruling out a terror link, Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor noted that "most terrorists don't do loops over the water".

"They need to really look at their process and procedures and see what fell through the cracks here", he said.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Saturday morning that President Donald Trump was "monitoring the situation".

He crashed almost an hour after the plane was taken from a maintenance area, though officials said that it did not appear that the fighter jets were involved in the crash of the aircraft.

Within minutes of the plane's takeoff, the military scrambled two armed F-15 jets from OR to follow it, according to local and airline authorities and two sources with knowledge of the situation. Russell appeared to be trying tricks in the air when the plane suddenly plunged to the ground. "They're not as easy to fly as, say, a Cessna 150, so I don't know how he achieved the experience he did", the CEO said. He documented his feelings working at the job on his social media and said he liked to travel and was hoping to one day work in a management position at the company.

Only the unidentified pilot was on the plane, according to authorities. "Without him we would be hopeless".

"Safety is our number one goal", Alaska Airlines CEO Brad Tilden said.

Jeremy Kaelin said he worked with Russell, a ground service agent at Horizon Air, in 2016.

The FBI is investigating the weird incident in conjunction with the National Transportation Safety Board and local law enforcement. Unlike cars, there are no keys needed for the door or to turn on the plane, he said. "The smoke lingered. You could still hear the F-15s, which were flying low". In one video shot by a witness on the ground, a man can be heard exclaiming that the pilot "just did a loop-the-loop".
