Everton sign Barça's Mina and Gomes, Shakhtar's Bernard

Andre Gomes And Yerry Mina

Everton have had a busy final day of the English transfer window, completing the triple signing of Bernard, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes.

Colombia defender Mina, who impressed in the World Cup, could eventually cost €31.75million, while Gomes arrives on a season-long loan.

The Toffees have paid around €2.25million (£1.7m) in a loan fee to sign Portugal midfielder Gomes - who has previously been linked with Arsenal this summer. However after the initial loan Southampton will have an obligation to buy the Englishman for £20 million.

Gomes has always been a fringe player at Barcelona, despite signing for a fee of £31m plus €20m in add-ons in 2016, with only 46 appearances made in La Liga since joining from Valencia.

"I chose Everton because of all the things I had heard about Marco Silva and after speaking to him I was happy with what he said to me", Bernard told the club's wbesite. This is a great opportunity for me and I am looking forward to competing here.

Transfer: Manchester United in talks to sign Chelsea defender
Everton were linked with a deadline day loan swoop for Chelsea's Premier League youngster Kurt Zouma , but the transfer window has now closed.

Moments later they also confirmed that Portugal global Gomes would join the Premier League side on loan.

Barcelona have been trying to offload the duo all summer and it seems they will be able to succeed by the transfer window slams shut in England at 5pm.

Barcelona have included a set buy-back option in their deal with Everton for Yerry Mina. "He is a good guy and we want to do our best for Everton".

However, Manchester United were put off by the excessive demands made by the player's agents, which ultimately resulted in them pulling the plug on the move.

Everton have signed three players from Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk.
