Farah Hashi, 25, seen driving another auto.
The 26-year-old rented the £560-a-day Lamborghini Huracan before triggering speed cameras in the early hours of the morning as he hit speeds of over 150mph racing along eight lane Sheikh Bayed highway in the popular tourist destination.
He added: 'He didn't even pay to hire the auto. A partner in the dealership Faris Iqbal, said that the tourist paid Dh6,000 as rent for two days for the Lamborghini Huracan, against his passport as a guarantee.
'I still have his passport so he will not be leaving, ' he added.
"I was fearing that he may go to his embassy claiming that he lost his passport in order to get a new one then leave the country", Iqbal told The National.
The auto is now still parked outside FIVE Palm Jumeirah, the address given by the tourist when he rented the vehicle.
Saeed Ali Rent a vehicle says Hashi left his passport as a guarantee for using the £260,000 supercar (pictured).
Mazda, Yamaha, Suzuki say they used fake vehicle emissions data
Suzuki said almost half of its 12,819 new vehicle inspections involved improper inspections at its three plants. He said managers familiar with inspections were not staffed at the factories where discipline was lacking.
Farah racked up the fines in less than four hours last Tuesday after setting off every speed camera on the Sheikh Zayed Road.
His brother Adman, 50, said Farah is now stranded in the Middle East because he can not afford to pay the "ridiculous" fine and has no way of getting his passport back.
Going over Dubai's 80km/h (50mph) limit results in a 3,000 dirham (£600) fine.
A Lamborghini, similar to the one Hashi was driving.
Hashi could also face a prison sentence if the court finds in favour of the rental auto agency and he is unable to pay the money owed. As of this moment, the leasing company filed papers to get a travel ban in the tourist's name.
Hashi was driving a Lamborghini Huracán on loan from Saeed Ali Rent a auto, and since the vehicle was registered to the rental company it ended up receiving all of the fines.
