Aerosmith tour van found in woods in Chesterfield, Massachusetts

The 1964 International Harvester Metro, which has a cartoon man and "Aerosmith" painted in bright yellow on the side, was used by the band when it was still trying to make a name for itself. Decades later, the dated yet iconic van has been found, and the people who located it know a thing or two about nostalgic vehicles.

According to CBS, the show's hosts said the van had spent years in the woods of a small MA town after being abandoned in the 1970s.

The van sat not far from a house on the property of a man who goes simply by "Phil.' It was missing a door, sitting on flat tires and the paint was rusting off".

The property owner said the van was there when he bought the land from someone with a connection to Aerosmith, which was formed in Boston in 1970 and has since sold some 150 million albums around the world.

The Roku Channel Is Now Free on the Web
The good news is we can now confirm that The Roku Channel now works on the Fire TV and on the Apple TV with AirPlay. The Roku Channel is now the fifth-most popular streaming channel on the Roku platform based on active accounts.

Wolfe and Fritz bought the van from Phil for $25,000. Still, the hosts were willing to pay a good deal for what Wolfe called "a piece of American rock and roll history".

Wolfe was put in contact with Ray Tabano, a founding member of the band who was replaced but later returned to work for the group. Though it may be hard to picture now, given the van's dilapidated condition, the band once used the bus for transportation between local shows, according to Tabano.

"This is it, baby", the rocker exclaimed when he took a look inside of van, recognizing the carpet on the ceiling falling off, just as it was back in the day. Decades later, the van has been found by none other than the stars of History Channel's hit show "American Pickers". Proving that you're never too old to rock n' roll, Tabano was even willing to recreate his pose in the photo for the episode.
