3 dead in Orange County plane crash

All five passengers aboard a small plane were killed on Sunday when the aircraft crashed in a SouthernCalifornia mall parking lot, according to local authorities.

No one on the ground was injured, but an unoccupied auto in the parking lot was extensively damaged. "Nobody on the ground was injured, so I don't know anything about what this pilot did or what he was thinking, but it could have been much more tragic". The plane is registered to the San Francisco-based real estate company Category III and had left Concord, according to an FAA database.

The twin-engine Cessna plane crashed in Santa Ana, and had been bound to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, said Capt.
