Queen left 'absolutely fuming' over fake Prince Philip death rumours

FUMING The Queen was not happy to hear the rumours that Prince Philip had died

Personal touches in the exhibition include poignant family photographs, from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's recent wedding, Prince George's official christening image and a picture of Charles holding his first grandchild with the Duke of Cambridge beside him.

The Prince of Wales has recreated the look and feel of his home for the centrepiece exhibition of the summer opening of Buckingham Palace.

The couple had their first son, Prince Charles, in 1949.

"It is said to have been worn by the Emperor during his Egyptian campaign and was taken from his carriage after the Battle of Waterloo 15 years later".

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "They both agreed there was little they could do but they are very, very annoyed".

Visitors will be transported to the drawing room of Clarence House, or the prince's Gloucestershire country retreat Highgrove, without leaving the Ball Supper Room of the palace.

"It is meant to give a flavour of the Prince of Wales' own residences and reflect his personal involvement".

The pieces feature a specially painted coat of arms with the shield of the Duchy of Cornwall, the Prince of Wales's Red Dragon badge, and daffodils, the national flower of Wales.

With Prince Philip remaining at Sandringham while the Queen was holidaying in Balmoral, sources say the monarch was "absolutely fuming" when she was told of the reports.

She adds, "The display aims to show the public the prince's long-standing passion for art and the way this has been channeled into the creation and understanding of art charities".

The exhibition at the Queen's London home this year focuses on the prince's 70th birthday and features more than 100 works of art personally selected by Charles.

Last May the Queen called an emergency meeting at Buckingham Palace, with speculation mounting that an announcement was to be made of Prince Philip's passing.
