The boat was carrying 29 tourists and two crew members.

Two other family members who were aboard the duck boat that capsized survived, including Tia Coleman, who spoke to Fox59.

"I lost all my children, I lost my husband", Coleman told Indianapolis television channel Fox 59 from her hospital bed in Branson.

There are already several community fundraisers and GoFundMe pages created to help victims of the duck boat tragedy, but Ingrid Coleman said her family had not yet decided what they ultimately might need.

"However in doing that, when it was time to grab them, it was too late and I believe that a lot of people could have been spared", Coleman said.

The vessel was owned by Ripley Entertainment company, whose "Ride the Ducks" website on Saturday said the business is closed "while we support the investigation". A severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service at 6:32 p.m., more than half an hour before police were called about the boat capsizing.

On Friday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol found the last four bodies that had been unaccounted for, according to Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader.

An Ankeny nurse was among the heroes who worked to save some of the victims of a deadly duck boat accident in Missouri Thursday that claimed 17 lives. Coleman said her in-laws were also there.

Lawyers who represented the families of two students who died in a 2010 duck boat sinking in Philadelphia have been calling for a ban on the amphibious vehicles since then.

A witness has described the wind-borne chaos as a duck boat capsized and sank in a lake in southwest Missouri.

Officials would later say the second duck boat dangerously churned up and down through the waves but made it to shore.

The National Transportation Safety Board and U.S. Coast Guard are investigating, officials said.

Nine of the 17 people who died when a tour boat sank in a Missouri lake were from the same family, according to the governor of Missouri. She said the ticket taker realised after they stopped for a photo that they should have boarded at a different location and assigned them new tickets.

Dozens of people left flowers, cards and balloons at a vigil held Friday at the Ride the Ducks building in Branson. He said he and his wife decided not to take the tour because of the weather. And previous year, Boston-one of the most prominent duck boat tour cities-began adopting new safety regulations in the wake of concerns from critics. The driver of the boat also perished in the incident.

You can find them in Boston, Seattle, and almost every coastal or water-adjacent city. "This incident has deeply affected all of us". Boat crews are supposed to give safety briefings to passengers at the beginning of a journey. "They're not fit for water or land because they are a half vehicle and half boat".

"We went from having good family fun out on the water to immediately now being in a life and death situation", Lemus said.
